Local Insurance Broker Teams up to Provide Lower Rates and Better Service

In an environment where insurance rates continue to climb, Ives Insurance Brokers is at the vanguard of a new approach to insurance that offers a combination of personalized service from local brokers with rates for home and auto insurance at very competitive rates.

“We recognized that there was a large group of customers that we are calling ‘wealth creators’ who don’t see themselves as grey, senior or retired. This category represents the majority of Canadians in the 45 to 69 age bracket, most of whom are in their peak earning years, said Henry Rodrigues, Chairman of Ned Insurance. “Wealth Creators are either paying too much for property and auto insurance or they’re not getting the level of personalized service they deserve. We launched Ned Insurance in order to give them a break on price and the level of service they want.”

“Based on our research, wealth creators not only want the best price, but given how busy and complicated their lives are, they are also looking for that expert advice to ensure that they have complete protection for what they hold dear. What we’ve developed with Ned Insurance differs from other insurance companies because we provide the one-on-one service to our customers,” added Rodrigues.

These savvy, educated and dependable people aged 45 to 69 years number just under 94,000 in the Greater Windsor Metropolitan area. “They are a very significant group, with decades of experience. They should not be treated like 18-year-olds getting insurance for the first time,” says Jeff Ives, President of Ives Insurance, with offices in LaSalle, Leamington, Essex and Amherstburg, as well as Bayfield. “Through our partnership with Ned Insurance, we are offering this group an extensive range of property and vehicle insurance combined with the service they deserve.”

“All the statistics indicate that people between ages 45 and 69 have the best insurance claims rates than any other age category,” adds Jeff. “For our clients in this age bracket, we wanted an insurance product that would maximize savings and discounts, giving them fair and appropriate insurance rates.”

After searching for the right insurance product for years without success, Ives banded together with a select number of brokers across Ontario cities to create Ned Insurance. “Ned is the first true program focusing on one specific age group. There is no better product out there. And it is backed by a very old and large company, exclusively underwritten by The Federation Insurance Company of Canada, established in 1947. Ives Insurance is very proud to be this region’s exclusive NED provider,” says Jeff.

Other insurance programs lump together people in every age bracket, figure out average costs and price their policies accordingly. The risks and costs associated with new, young drivers are offset and subsidized by experienced, older drivers. Jeff says, “That means insurance costs for our older drivers have traditionally been padded, inflated by higher risk clients.”

A growing number of local wealth creators are discovering they can obtain all of that through Ives Insurance and the new Ned products, quietly available since Sept. 2009. Confident in clients’ reception thus far, Ned and Ives started officially promoting the program this month.

“Our clients are pleased to see their insurance rates drop substantially. People with two vehicles and a house are saving $300 to $1500 annually, compared to their old insurance policies with other insurers,” says Jeff.

By insuring multiple assets – houses, vehicles, watercrafts, vacation properties, RVs, motorcycles, golf carts and more - with Ives Insurance, you can reduce costs and make life easier. Jeff says, “It all gets very simplified – one policy, one payment, one broker.”

Recognizing that insurance is a much more complex product than most people realize, Ives’ personal approach helps their clients navigate through these complexities so that they can rest knowing that they are truly getting the coverage they need.

Part of this process is to help clients get on board immediately. “If your auto insurance policy comes due today, but your home insurance is not due for another six months, we can write policies for both assets now. You only pay for your auto policy now; the house insurance policy will start when the old policy expires. In addition to the convenience, you also benefit from the multiple-item discount, starting today.”

Clients are pleased to discover another major Ned advantage: superior coverage. “For example, if your vehicle has been damaged in an accident, your claim can be settled over the phone,” Jeff says. “Through Ned’s concierge service, one of our people will stay with your car and oversee towing service, while you are driven safely home. Expert repairs are done at Ned-approved body shops. Then your car is brought back to you.”

“As your local broker, Ives Insurance provides the personal service that gives our customers peace of mind,” Henry adds. “Ned has secured relationships with carefully selected Canadian insurance brokers because we believe brokers are better positioned to assist clients with more options and therefore, better service. After meeting Jeff and putting his firm through a rigorous evaluation process, we determined he is an excellent broker, the kind we’re looking for. We became natural partners.”

“Our clients have spent many years putting together a lifestyle they enjoy and they want to protect it,” says Henry. “They need a reputable, local insurance broker who can sit down with them and draw up a comprehensive insurance account covering all of their assets and ensuring their security. We believe that together, Ned and Ives Insurance provide the best personalized products and service for these people.”
